Audrey Langlassé is a
member of the
Chartered Institute of Linguists.
She holds the Chartered Institute of Linguists’ Diploma in Translation (English into French: 1 Distinction, 2 Merits).
Born and bred in France, she read English at the Sorbonne University (Paris IV), graduating in 1996 before completing an MA in English Literature in 1997. The same year she studied at Liverpool’s John Moores University as an ERASMUS student. She then qualified as a secondary school teacher of English in 1999 and taught for three years in the Paris region. After passing her degree to teach French as a foreign language, she settled in Wales in 2002 with her family and taught French to adults at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth alongside her work as a translator for a number of Welsh organisations.
In September 2007, she moved to Glasgow where she combines her translating activities with some French tuition for
DACE and
the Language Centre at the University of Glasgow.
She is a member of
Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Living and working in the UK for the past five years has provided her with a thorough knowledge of the culture and workings of the English language. This puts her in a prime position to translate from English into French.
